Should You Consider Using a Humidifier?

ukulele humidifiers

If you live in a climate that is dry or you have a dry house, especially during the winter months when houses can get really dried out with the heat on, then your DUKE10 banjolele might not thank you if you let it dry out. This can cause many things such as cracks in the wood, fret ends beginning to stick out and getting sharp etc.
We would suggest keeping your banjouke (and other instruments) in its case with a humidifier in it, and/or running a humidifier in the room where you keep your instruments in order to play it safe.

Now, we are not experts on this subject because here in New Zealand we have the opposite issue - too much humidity, but if you want to learn more, have a read of the article we found over at Ukulele Magazine. It will explain the issue in more detail as well as provide a few solutions for you.
